Thank you Rob. I agree with your reasoning. And this 40F is a perfect answer to Gardner's specs as illustrated with his drawings a while ago. The Cat2Fold is also acknowledged as a proof of concept for that class of boat for warm weather sailing.

I should have been more specific as my comparison is the (readily) trailerable trimarans. Dragonfly largest of these models is the 28. The narrow version of the Farrier f33 is just a tad too wide for mainland Europe. Whatever the configuration of the deck cabin of a 40F, open or closed, to compare with, using the hull sole as the cabin sole saves about 75 cm in height. With this I can "pay" for a closed cabin for Atlantic weather conditions.

With the ww hull like a double ended trimaran main hull there is no magic formula on using interior space. The examples above have long worked out what "solutions" there are for bunks and head. In a (readily) trailerable trimaran there cannot be bunks in the wings nor transverse bunks.

The submarine look&feel is an issue. It is less a problem for an HP as for storage a single larger lee hull is more effective than two smaller ama's and even large enough, as Rob D has illustrated, for housing a pop up head. This should more easily free the interior of the ww hull of stuff (or add the temptation to fill it in addition).
As for a more airy feeling inside I would like to mimic the look&feel of the Garcia 45 using window panes like in Chris White's hammerhead 34. But that is a probably another topic.
