On the same principle as cage rollers but admittedly more resistance, you can leave the bearings free so that both the inside and outside surfaces allow slip thus reducing resistance and allowing cheaper materials. Im not all that fond of metal bearings in this application because of the servicing needs.

Im not at all sure of this as its way outside my league, but the problem as I see it is if there is much bend in the wing then bearings on my schema will become misaligned, which means they need to be spherical housings on the outside.

Im chasing something I read from Eric Sponberg on bearings and wing sails, but have since lost track of
