Have you checked out Rob's Woodenboat challenge design? You can
find details in the files section of the forum. It sounds like that
design does just about everything you described, and would work in
either ply or composite.
It's great to hear about the Wharram. I was planning on a Tiki 38
for years until I found the harryproa designs. The idea of having
real queen berths, and skipping all that standing rigging, changed
my mind. Now when I look at the Wharrams it's hard not to see all
those potential points of failure for the rig.
