I suggested that the critics do the arithmetic. It might be useful to
put down weight, righting moment, diagonal capsize moment, Bruce
number, max breeze for full sail, length/breadth ratios Maybe
resistance numbers if you have them. and then ask them to compare.
You'd need a fair breeze to be competitive in small dinghy racing.
Almost as much as me. Last time I raced was in Twofold Bay with two
daughters on an NS14, we were doing well in about 18 knots till the
mark was windshadowed by a tanker and the boat slowed down enough to
allow water to come in through the bung that wasn't there.
I am merely getting an earful about finishing the bathroom. It's still
without a window.
Katie should be just about old enough to finish it of herself, but I
don't know if the OH&S officer in your household would allow it.
